 The Fortino Winery has the distinction of having their wines be 95% Estate grown on their Gilroy and San Martin vineyards.  Outside of the tasting room stands eighty year old Carnigan roots descending over forty feet down into a rocky sandy soil in Gilroy, dry farmed and without a trellis to lend support, the strongly represent the amazing effort which man and nature put into their first wines.
